Simple as it is, the FASE system is a game-changer in the world of TRADITIONAL bindings: the feel is identical in every respect, weight and structure are not affected in the slightest, but now it takes 1.5 seconds to get in and strapped up. Going back isn't hard, it's pointless. How does it work? The toe strap stays still while the ankle strap, thanks to a very long ladder, never fully "releases", making entry and exit easy without having to reposition the ratchet on the ladder every time; the highback tilts outwards by a few degrees to allow entry and locks vertically thanks to a "paddle" system that the heel hits on entry – super simple but extremely functional and solid. Closing just the ankle strap, which is moreover inside a guide, is a split-second operation that evolves this binding from traditional to next-generation traditional.
