Take the Turbo Dream, look at it again, try to improve it, halfway through the job you realise it's better to leave it alone and throw it away. At K2 they took care of making something even more precise, floaty and stable, and after the name lottery they decided to call it Manifest. Well, it may not be the top but the other names in the running were Whatsit, Everlast or a brand of medicine, so we're quite happy with the choice. If the name might recall some villain from a 1930s horror film or an expired medicine, the performance looks straight to the future: thanks to the central camber combined with a nice wide rocker in the nose, to float like there's no tomorrow and travel on the piste as if on rails, your days on the snow will never be the same. And no wonder – you can count on a toned, light and precise core with X-shaped carbon inserts in nose and tail capable of making the transmission to the edge super precise and lightning fast, while the sintered base propels you more than a giant fairground slingshot. In short, maybe don't go into the park too hyped, but everything else is easily manageable even by a duffer like you if you have a bomb like this under your feet.

• MANIFEST Directional Combination Camber : the combination camber brings together the best of both worlds, using a classic camber zone in the middle to give the board the necessary precision and pop, while the rocker zones in the nose and tail make the board forgiving and increase float in fresh snow.
