General compatibility of snowboard bindings

"Bindings and board compatibility can be summarised mainly in the four, three and two-bolt systems. The first is the most widely used, the second is a system used in the past by Burton and now abandoned (3D compatible bindings survive) and the third is the current the Channel Burton. Please note, the 4-bolt system usually sees the holes spaced 4cm horizontally and 2cm laterally. In the case of a board with the holes 4cm x 4cm, bindings with mini or micro discs will not be compatible. There are never any problems of compatibility between board and binding with regard to size. An L binding can go on a non-width board, if your boot size is less than 44.5 and your binding size includes it, everything is correct."
