How to choose a ski jacket

A ski jacket has two main characteristics: padding and waterproofness. Obviously, the colder days you expect the more you will buy a heavy jacket, and the more you will be in extreme conditions (fresh snow, bad weather) the more a highly waterproof jacket will be the right choice.
