Boots are improving year by year thanks to new technologies such as thermomodelling boots (no more need for heaters or systems to heat them up), increasingly high-performance fastening systems, and reduced bulk thanks to the possibility of reducing thickness without losing insulation. Modern boots are really warm, so much so that thick socks are often unnecessary.
