NITRO BASHER
Hey rider, here's a quick rundown of everything you need to know about the SNOWBOARD NITRO BASHER.The beauty of the Quiver line is that they don't care whether the general public likes it or not, whether it sells loads or not – they're made for the pleasure of the shapers themselves, and Brian Fox seems to have a lot of fun building tools that, for their intended use, are phenomenal. The Basher is no exception: taking its cue from the Optisym, out comes a twin with an asym shape and flat profile; medium-soft flex and 3D technology make it an ultra fun board at low-medium speeds in every part of the mountain, and in the hands of creative riders it takes freestyle-all-mountain to a different level. The fact that it's also a touch wide means it floats well in sessions between the trees or on a few bumpy powder lines too – we really liked it a lot.

Directional boards have a slight or more pronounced directionality, and a sidecut calibrated to favour more aggressive riding with your preferred foot. The sidecut is therefore asymmetric; the board will be extremely stable and powerful on piste as well as on take-off/landing from the biggest features, and will float superbly in fresh snow. The feel in switch is still very good; these boards are recommended for riders looking for carving performance without sacrificing the option of spinning and landing. Flat camber: the edge is fully in contact with the snow but isn't preloaded by an arched shape, so good edge hold, good pop, good precision, good manoeuvrability. An excellent middle ground if you're not after technical boards. This is the value indicating a snowboard's resistance to bending. A stiff board (high flex) is more responsive and gives a more immediate, safe and stable response, while a soft board (low flex) is easier to handle and geared towards freestyle tricks. The medium-stiff flex delivers maximum speed and stability.
