One morning Mr Ride woke up, had breakfast with cereal and approximation, and while running to the loo (he's lactose intolerant) he tripped over the sheet of paper on which he was supposed to write the names of the new bindings. Gripped by stomach cramps, he pulled out a pen and filled the sheet in thirty seconds: A if they have an aluminium base, C if they have a composite base, the little numbers are the stiffness, done. Poor guy has been locked in the bathroom for two hours, and I do understand him. Composite base and slimeback highback sounds like the recipe for a wizard's potion, but it's actually one of Ride's most successful bindings. The CL-6 is the classic all-rounder you'd always want with you. The composite Performance base is nicely precise, the slimeback highback makes manoeuvres easy and predictable thanks to its torsion and cushioning. Every detail is cared for to the millimetre thanks to the minimal and super comfortable straps and the EVA footbed, which we all know got us thrown out of the garden of Eden but, fitted to bindings, isn't so bad. The CL-6 is dedicated to girls who have clear ideas on the snow and kick backsides from the piste to the park.
