.Once the favorite toy of the dictator of a distant planet, the Quantum was stolen by a crew of galactic pirates known for their ferocity. While camped on the dark face of the moon, the cosmo police caught them, and in a second lasered them with their weapon known as "the Peacemaker." In the explosion some of the loot began to flutter through space, until Cristoforetti saw something shimmering in the suspended debris and caught the Quantum. Chance would have it that her cousin is a snowboarder, so she gave him the binding as a gift, and amid various vicissitudes I don't feel like inventing, it ended up in the Salomon catalog.
